1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using pdf2word, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. License & Use

pdf2word grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our platform. You may not:

• Reverse engineer or decompile any component
• Use automated tools to abuse rate limits
• Upload malware or illegal content
• Resell or redistribute our services
• Access others' files or accounts

3. User Content & Responsibility

You retain all rights to files you upload. You are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to upload content
• Verifying content does not violate laws or third-party rights
• Protecting your account credentials

4. Rate Limiting & Fair Use

Free Tier: Limited to 3 server-based conversions per hour per IP address.

Pro Tier: Higher limits for subscribed users.

Excessive use or attempts to circumvent rate limits may result in temporary or permanent account suspension.

5. No Warranty

pdf2word is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted service availability
• Error-free conversions
• Data recovery after deletion

6. Liability Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, pdf2word is not liable for:

• Data loss or corruption
• Service interruptions
• Lost profits or consequential damages

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you:

• Violate these terms
• Upload illegal or harmful content
• Abuse the service or its infrastructure

8. Intellectual Property

pdf2word source code and design are provided as open-source under the MIT License. You may use, modify, and distribute the code under the license terms.

9. Pricing & Payments

Pro tier subscriptions:

• Billed monthly or yearly depending on plan choice
• Auto-renewal unless cancelled before billing date
• Refunds honored within 14 days of charge

10. Data Deletion

On server-based processing:

• Files are automatically deleted within 60 minutes
• Metadata is retained for 30 days for debugging
• You can manually delete projects anytime

11. Third-Party Services

pdf2word may integrate with third-party services (payment processors, analytics). We are not responsible for their terms or privacy practices. Review their policies before use.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable international law and are subject to dispute resolution.
